About Gareth

I’m an entrepreneur, technologist and environmentalist. I’m also passionate about Africa, Africans, photography, open source stuff, and the web. I play hockey for fun. I believe we’re at a critical juncture in human evolution. I try constantly to be more productive. By day I'm a web professional enjoying the famously sunny climes in London (if there was ever any chance of cheaper and faster bandwidth in South Africa, then you might also find me in Johannesburg). I come from a digital and enterprise software background, having done pretty much everything from web design back in '99, through to software business development more recently. At the moment I'm building an awesome web app with a bunch of really amazing people. I'm also trying very hard to get more sleep. That’s not an easy question! So what’s a power user on Kindo?

Probably the number one feature request for Kindo, over and above better deleting of profiles in the family tree, is for photos. We always knew that would come, so I’m pleased as punch to say that we’re working on it, and hope to release the first iteration of Kindo family photos soon.
    That said, I [...]

  • Kindo usage in South Africa

OK, so South Africa is not the biggest internet market in the whole wide world, but I love it, and it’s deeply rooted in my psyche and my memories. But, thanks to lovely Google Analytics, we’re able to check out where people are using Kindo in South Africa…. and as you can see [...]

  • Something to put on your blog ;)

We’ve had a few people asking us for blog widgets to put something Kindo on their blogs, so here’s our first
It’s super simple - just an image and a link, and we hope people will share the love and spread it around…
